Does anyone here know how to get permission to reprint art on a NYC street mural?

It's by a now deceased artist named Louis del Sarte and it is called "Spirit of Harlem".

Not for commercial purposes but for art book published privately, free to public but limited run to under 100 copies.

on where the art is posted.

If it's on a public building I'd contact the public communications office of whatever agency or department it might be.

If it's a private business I'd go to the owners.

You might also want to contact the estate of del Sarte and see what they say.

I don't know if this is helpful, just off the top of my head.

Contacting the NYC arts commission--the municipal office--might give you some clues on this.

Best of luck with your project. It sounds exciting!
