Again she's a trump appointee which we need to assume involves at least a small amount of corruption. He's a quid pro quo type of guy.

I wonder if the judge will have a remedy available to the DA? Or will it be another case of "too bad, so sad" NOBODY IS ABOVE THE LAW (with certain exceptions)?

He could ask Pomerantz about his methods of investigating the former guy and his doings in the state of New York. Who did he interview? Why didn't he take a permanent appointment to the DA's office? And so forth.

The argument by Jordan to the federal judge is that he wants to investigate "unprecedented prosecutorial conduct," which sounds a lot like Jordan has already decided that there has been prosecutorial misconduct. I know it sounds absurd, but I'd bet even money that Jordan is not above stove-piping the routine criminal investigation of the DA's office into some kind of dark legalistic hoodoo unfairly leveled against the former guy.'

I don't think Jordan's smart enough to do this alone, so he'll probably need the assistance of a rabidly right-wing news outlet, perhaps even one that recently settled a defamation lawsuit against it on the eve of trial.
