any newspaper in america that called on bill clinton to resign better pipe up about thomas.

fuck this curtsies to roberts. he’ll do nothing.
stand up and demand thomas resign right fucking now, and explain that the normal levers to replace him are broken and the 1st step to repairing the rule of law in this country if for that deeply corrupt couple to at.the.very.least. exit the stage.
all you newspapers, and dick durbin and sheldon whitehouse and chuck schumer, and and and.

for all the whining about preaching to the choir, this is what happens when the choir never practices. if half the country stood up and demanded he step down, what would happen?

And now?

"Douglas Schoen: Clarence Thomas controversy plunges SCOTUS deeper into party politics"

In other words: We're sticking with Coke Can Thomas because he's a Republican.

But, it has a lot of far-right Republicans - especially south of the 55 - whose blood pressure rises to Trumpian levels every time they see a Hispanic crossing the street (to say nothing if they see them toting small children - which drives them wild).

Now - these are the same people who hire them to do everything from landscaping, to painting and installing, babysitting, senior care, and so much more.

But to them, they represent the "browning of America."

And those are the OCR's most loyal readers - and they know it.

In Libertarian OC, they left us alone. Not as equals, of course.

I had to leave eventually due mainly to costs.

But I do miss it - even a few of my GOP acquaintances, believe it or not.

A lot of them really are "tax" Republicans, rather than bigoted Republicans - although they don't mind sharing the same bed, as you know.

Yeah, he screwed up, but he still was doing the work he was elected to do. I admire him for that.

Lewinsky but chose not to do so. On a personal level, I felt he just gave the repukes big sticks to beat us Dems with. He was the most powerful man in the world and he could have prevented this situation from happening. And I loved Bill Clinton, but my perfect president was to come with Barack Obama!

…until he was impeached. At that point, he did the right thing by fighting back.

Change the 2/3rds vote rule in the Senate for removing an impeached justice from office.

Ain’t going to happen. Public and media pressure, and “pressure” on his staunch supporters is the only means for getting Thomas gone against his wishes in my estimation. He needs to be vilified and harassed with calls to resign 24/7.
