I dont care what anyone has to say, I am damn proud Kamala Harris is our Vice President.
As Senator, Vice President Harris championed legislation to combat hunger, provide rent relief, improve maternal health care, and address the climate crisis as a member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. Her bipartisan anti-lynching bill passed the Senate in 2018. Her legislation to preserve Historically Black Colleges and Universities was signed into law, as was her effort to infuse much-needed capital into low-income communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
On August 11, 2020, Vice President Harris accepted President Joe Bidens invitation to become his running mate and help unite the nation. She is the first woman, the first Black American, and the first South Asian American to be elected Vice President, as was the case with other offices she has held. She is, however, determined not to be the last.
As Vice President, Kamala Harris has worked in partnership with President Joe Biden to get America vaccinated, rebuild our economy, reduce child poverty, and pass an infrastructure law that will lift up communities that have been left behind. She has led the Administrations efforts in rallying broad coalitions to protect the freedom to vote, expand workers rights to organize and collectively bargain, and stand up for womens rights supporting women in our workforce, addressing the maternal health crisis, and defending reproductive rights. The Vice President has also played a key role in engaging world leaders and strengthening our nations alliances and partnerships. In everything she does, she remains focused on the people of our nationand our collective future.

If you don't know what she has done, then you are not paying attention to that black woman.

(1,887 posts)We need to make sure that people can clearly see her dedication and abilities. They try to look away for sure but the Dems need to highlight her achievements and President Biden needs to showcase her abilities. We need a strong team in 2024! Also a strong woman on the ticket is a huge plus.

(24,626 posts)From what I hear from her critics, they don't know her at all. I will proudly vote the Biden/Harris ticket in 2024.

(83,967 posts)She makes me smile when she laughs.
Kind of like Hillary's "cackle"? Ohhhh, how they hated that she laughed. I loved her laugh as I love Kamalas.
I will be voting for them as well.

(1,887 posts)But thinking on it, it could have been the press selecting out those laughs to make it seem like her laughter was nervous and continual. I dont hear it so much anymore. I hope she continues to shine in her spotlight.

Ones who complain about the corporate oligarch media conglomerate establishment whatever then blame Democrats for not being able to get their message out. Get your story straight. If Democrats are status quo corrupt corporate establishment, why aren't the corporate media conglomerate singing their praises every day? Why the constant harping about Biden's low approval rating and how nobody likes him?
Reasons for not liking Harris are vague, as usual. The nation is horribly polarized. OF COURSE approval ratings for anybody aren't going to be very high. Democrats don't approve of Republicans and Republicans don't approve of Democrats.
