"SNIP.........
A new Public Policy Polling survey in Arizona finds that Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I) stands to lose re-election badly in virtually any potential matchup this November and is deeply unpopular among voters.
The survey results show that just 27% of voters in the state view Sinema favorably and want her to run again, compared to 50% of Arizonans who view her unfavorably and 54% who say she shouldnt run again.
In any likely three-way matchup among Sinema, Ruben Gallego (D) and whatever Republican candidate wins their primary, Sinema appears to have virtually no chance of winning.

(7,876 posts)I think she just wants to punish Democrats and curry even more favor with her Republican buddies by playing spoiler.

(601 posts)But could Sinema be a spoiler for a Democratic candidate in the general election? I wouldnt put it past her to want to be so petty as to mess things up for the Democrats in the Senate if she cant get past the primary.

(182,954 posts)Boebert came this close to losing a district that should be a lock and the general perception was that she was embarrassing her constituents.

(24,446 posts)she totally misread the electorate and is bringing on her own defeat. I hope the money (and her principles) keep her warm on those long, cold desert nights

(1,654 posts)The possibilities range from:
1. She's changed. She ran as a Democrat who cared for the people and was dazzled by the temptation of the money dangled by lobbyists and will get it while she can.
2. She has never had any real values at all and is a complete opportunist.
3. She fooled everyone that she was a Democrat and was always going to pull this eventually as witnessed by her failure to have town halls from the beginning. She always intended to answer to no one.
4. A little bit of all of them.

(7,867 posts)she created a persona: a progressive tree hugging Democrat...openly bisexual, she advocated for LGBTQ rights and opposed the war on terror...Emily's List embraced her, Democratic operatives advised her...she said and did whatever was necessary to get elected and re-elected..but once she hit the pinnacle, the US Senate, she threw off her faux progressive cloak and the real Sinema emerged..a middle school mean girl with a hunger for money, status, revenge, above all, center stage.. she repeatedly voted against her constituents best interests b siding with the Republicans to protect the filibuster dooming major legislation... the Arizona Democratic Party censured her, progressive PACs pulled their support, and Democratic operatives dropped her...so now she's an Independent..her poll numbers are underwater, she's reviled in her state, and her chances of getting elected to anything is a not-going-to-happen..thoughts and prayers..

Becoming very rich.
She found the grift of a lifetime.
It was obvious from day one.
