but soon after people inside were yelling about someone (outside) having a gun, someone inside tripped on something that made a loud bang—panic ensued.

How sad is it that that is where we are now? A sharp loud noise can cause a panic because everyone knows there’s a really high chance of it being gunfire.

While it's a relief the gun was never in the building, there still was an idiot outside with a gun scaring the daylights out of people.

It’s just awful how on edge we as a society are now in any public gathering. And it’s practically a necessity to be on alert all the time because it can happen anywhere, anytime.

That person clearly intended to use their gun to either threaten or harm at least one other person. I know Texas has some ridiculous gun laws; but those are crimes in most other states.
