DeSantis is tripling the size of his newly created "Florida State Guard". This new militia is separate from the National Guard and is not answerable to the US military.
It essentially is for the governor to use as he sees fit.

(44,738 posts)A well regulated militia being necessary for the security of a free state is the State National Guard as well as the Federal Military. Desantis has created a threat to said security. So his macho move may get Americans slaughtered in warfare on US Soil because he has a problem with the size of his dick. I bet hes a Republican.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
