We did not come from your rib - you came from our wombs via our vaginas
You will not tell us what are or are not our rights because of your backward unscientific thinking which you have used for centuries to oppress all but white men.
You do not decide if women have abortions. You do not get to define history for the folks you enslaved.o
Now please to fuck off.
That is all.

(6,427 posts)..... class taught by a female biology teacher. And the board had an attorney, biologist, female nurse, and former military Operating Room Scrub tech on the board.
The short version was they were out of knowledge. And we won that round.
But you do have to wonder where these ill-informed idiots come from and why they want their sons and daughters to learn from the ill-informed kids sitting next to them or in the back seat pushing the lousy info.
Twenty years later, we are re-fighting all those and other old battles.

(2,052 posts)have "womb resentment." Just my little bit of armchair psychology here, but I think some men never got over the anger and frustration they felt as little boys when they were under the complete control of their mothers and were thwarted from getting everything they wanted. This resentment makes them, once they are adults, buy in 100 percent with the misogynistic myths our culture subtly and not-so-subtly still endorses. Makes 'em feel important, powerful, and manly.

(3,192 posts)It is time to bring it back, loud and clear. I think Helen Reddy would agree.
I AM WOMAN. HEAR ME ROAR! IN NUMBERS TO LARGE TO IGNORE!
I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an' pretend
'Cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again
[Chorus]
Oh yes, I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything
I am strong
(Strong)
I am invincible
(Invincible)
I am woman
[Verse 2]
You can bend but never break me
'Cause it only serves to make me
More determined to achieve my final goal
And I come back even stronger
Not a novice any longer
'Cause you've deepened the conviction in my soul
This is what these men don't understand. Every wrong they do to us, only deepens our resolve. Every pain we feel to any ONE of us deepens the resolve of ALL of us to achieve conviction for ALL of us. And, when we do, THEY won't like it.
And we will remember who was on our side, and who wasn't. We will remember who walked by our side... and who screamed to kill us. And Goddess help those who are against us. Because unlike those who walked into the Mother before us rather than give in, we will not go gently into those waters this time. This time we fight with all our might for and with the Goddess. From Diana to Hecate. At least, my personal growth path. I am Woman. Hear me Roar!
I think we need to be requesting that song be played on the radio. The energy is dynamic and catching. We need to be holding rallies with it, like we did before. Build the power, once again. Make them AFRAID!

(1,864 posts)From Google:
"In the United States, the male to female ratio is roughly 97 males for 100 females. This means that in most areas of the country, there are slightly more females than males.'
These patriarchal men need to be wake up!
And I suspect that for every woman who is not pro choice (I know such women exist, but they are a serious minority) there are at least 2 men who are advocates for women's rights to manage our own bodies and health. Wonderful supportive men, here on DU and in our government, who are helping us to fight for our rights. It's our fight and we know it, and we appreciate all the allies in this war.
We the majority will not let these chauvinist religious zealots continue to control us.

(5,396 posts)The idea that these pasty idiots get to dictate to women how they must live their lives. The fact that there are those who still want to say they see this as anything other than a blatant attempt at subjugation is staggering to me. I just hope the female population of this planet show more compassion to us than we did to them once the societal shift into a matriarchal culture happens. (And, it will happen. History shows it. I hope I live long enough to see it. I won't, but it will be glorious none the less.) It is that loss of power that drives these idiots. We need to stop listening to them. At all.
