Senate Republicans on Thursday blocked a measure that would have allowed the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) to be added to the Constitution.

When we say the cons will go along with ANY amount of violence against us, please listen.
When we say they will force children to read the 10 commandments, please listen...
When we say they will ban a Trans rep from speaking for being Trans, please listen...
When we say they will ban the mention of Gay or Trans people, please listen (y'all thought that one was never possible, right!)...
I could go on...

(28,703 posts)Sens. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine were the lone GOP senators to vote to move to the resolution; Schumer changed his affirmative vote to no. Under the chambers rules, doing so gives him the option of bringing up the resolution again down the road
