CNBC anchor Hadley Gamble was reportedly caught having a relationship with 76-year-old billionaire and Trump campaign financial backer Tom Barrack ahead of the claims this month that she had also had an inappropriate relationship with ousted NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell.
The New York Post reported on Friday that Gambles relationship with Barrack had been accidentally revealed to co-workers in 2020 after he appeared in the background while the anchor was recording her CNBC show Capital Connection.
The video showed a man resembling Barrack standing in a doorway in the background as Gamble attempted to motion him out of frame. According to the Post, the video was recorded in a Turkish hotel room in Summer 2020, when Gamble was 39 and Barrack was 74.
After employees at CNBC identified the figure in the background as Barrack, who Gamble had interviewed for the network just months prior, a company investigation into the relationship was launched. The network was reportedly concerned that an interview Gamble hosted with former President Donald Trumps senior adviser Jared Kushner had been set up by Barrack. The Post spoke to several anonymous sources who claimed Gamble travelled on Barracks private jet to meet Kushner and that the anchor used Barracks New York penthouse to record her show.

Gamble also appeared to have some form of relationship with NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell and it was reported on Monday that Gamble accused Shell of sexual harassment. NBCUniversal announced his departure on Sunday, citing an investigation into inappropriate conduct, while Shell apologized in a statement for having an inappropriate relationship with a woman in the company.

In behind-the-scenes video from the summer of 2020 obtained by The Post, a pink dress-clad Gamble can be seen preparing for a live shot on the set of her CNBC International show Capital Connection when a man casually walks into the frame.
The nine-second video was taken in Bodrum, Turkey, where Gamble was preparing to host the show remotely from a ritzy hotel suite.
The man, who was wearing a T-shirt and shorts and appeared to be barefoot, lingers in the shot for several seconds while Gamble frantically attempts to get his attention and shoo him away.
At one point, she shifts in her seat in an apparent bid to block the man from the cameras view.
Eventually, Gamble turns around to get his attention and then smiles sheepishly into the camera as the man exits the room. Three sources identified the man in the background of the video as Barrack.

The video of the incident was leaked across CNBC newsrooms and sparked murmuring among staffers who questioned whether Gamble, then 39, had been dating Barrack, then 74, at the time of the interview as well as why the relationship was never disclosed on air.
Gambles relationship with Barrack prompted a human resources probe at CNBC in 2021 after she secured an interview with Trumps senior advisor and son-in-law Jared Kushner.

The rich and/or highly placed politicians are attracted to the young women who they see on TV and who frequently interview them. The young women are attracted by the power and the money. Duh.

(10,969 posts)He's in an official meeting county board of supervisors meeting over Zoom, and his "friend" comes waltzing into the room. The notably younger man is clad in a speedo and a tank top then starts changing in the background before realizing what is happening. It's hilarious.

When we saw the video, my friends and I were dead. Good for him, though. Background younger man was crazy attractive.

He added that the two are not a couple.
"We are not dating. We are not boyfriends. We're not engaged. We're not married," he said.

And in case it's unclear to people who aren't familiar with how we talk to one another and consider relationships. Not dating, or a couple, or engaged, or married does not mean not fuckin. Everyone knew what was going on there.
I don't care. They're consenting adults. And like I said, guy in the speedo was hot. Supervisor's getting his.
I just found it deeply funny, and every time there's an inadvertent reveal over Zoom, I always think of this story. It's one of my favorites.

Usually in my situation, mostly union meetings, it's a cat parading in front of the computer camera and one time we got a full-on view of his rear end.
The one I thought was absolutely hysterical was the lawyer who had to tell the judge he wasn't a cat.

(10,969 posts)I zoom a lot for school and work. My home office has a bed behind me I bought for when my mom visits (she can't do stairs). So 99% of the time it's where the two cats sleep during the day while I work on various things.
Once in awhile, I'll be on a call or meeting, glance at my image, and suddenly it appears - a single back paw slowly ascending skyward just over my shoulder.
Because one of them is going to absolute town on themselves.
And everyone knows it.

(54,984 posts)President Vladimir Putin appeared to be channeling the stereotype of Russias uneducated working classes this week when he mocked and patronized an experienced American business journalist. Unleashing his inner gopnik during an on-stage interview, he claimed she must be too beautiful to understand his complex argument.
The exchange took place Wednesday at a Russian Energy Week panel in Moscow moderated by CNBC journalist Hadley Gamble. The reporter had pressed Putin on reports of Russia withholding gas supplies to Europe to drive up prices, and after the Russian leader dismissed the claim, she asked how Moscow could convince its European partners that its a reliable gas supplier in light of such reports.
A beautiful woman, pretty. I tell her one thing, and she says something completely different. As if she didnt hear what I said, Putin said, turning to the male members of the audience.
His chauvinistic joke came as Kremlin-owned media outlets covering Undersecretary of State Victoria Nulands visit to Russia went into overdrive to mock her as just a token female in government, lamenting the advancement of femininity in the West.
