Alito thinks he knows who Dobbs leaker is and says its not a conservative
Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. said in an interview earlier this month that he has a pretty good idea who leaked his draft Supreme Court opinion that overturned Roe v. Wade and its constitutional right to abortion last year, but that neither he nor the court can prove it.
The leak rocked the Supreme Court and its tradition of secrecy involving unreleased opinions. After a months-long investigation, Supreme Court Marshal Gail Curley said in January that the court could not determine with certainty the identity of any individual who may have disclosed the document or how the draft opinion ended up with Politico.

So, completely ignoring his stupid take on it and substituting an actual logical explanation that was provided before, one of the conservative types released it to put pressure on the others to make it an even more restrictive decision than it otherwise was.

(11,203 posts)Alito was so giddy about the power he had to finally take reproductive rights away from women. I am sure he bragged about it prior to the decision being released. He thought it would bring him adoration and perhaps sainthood. He has recently proven he can't keep he mouth shut and relishes he no longer even needs to pretend to be impartial anymore.

He thought he would be hailed as the defender of right wing extremists religiosity and the left would just roll over. He had No idea, nor did anyone else, that forced birth would overwhelm the Gerrymandering, legal bribery and voter suppression the Supremes allow and insure that we kept the Senate.
He's so full of lies and corruption that I'm surprised his face isn't eaten off by maggots.
The Supremes are out of control. Judicial review is a scam that has led to this. The corruption of the court is so blatant as to make a stink all the way to California.
