I enjoy coming here and having my say about this and that.

I take a bit of heat for being a devout peacenick, for being a radical environmentalist, and advocating listener supported journalism and news, amongst some other things. Nevertheless, DU is an invigorating experience overall, and I’m grateful for it.

Some of you all are brilliant writers, so reading here is a rewarding way of accessing news.

Gosh how horrible it is to be pro peace and for a clean environment. I listen to boring but important (NPR) almost every morning. WWNO New Orleans. Went to a Dodgers game the summer of 74, great experience. But a Phillie Fan from birth. DU is pretty good at team building by information sharing which is important when the opposition is so hateful and reckless (acting without thinking). See ya around campus.

And yes, there are some brilliant writers on DU! Which often makes it a joy to read. Plus we're blessed with good admins and volunteer assistants (MIRT and hosts) who've been able to limit the trolling in the past, and will - I hope - be able to limit the bots in the future.

It's a great board. I've taken heat for some of my views here, too, but like you, I'm grateful for this forum. The discussions, the news, the information and humor and other entertainment.

And staying here. That's the thing about the Democratic Party. We are a broad spectrum and getting everyone on the same page is damn near impossible, but I think it makes us stronger.
