Trump town hall? He tried to overthrow the government!
Are you seriously entertaining a traitor? Treating him like he's a legitimate candidate?
You're pretending he's a statesman? Have you forgotten that potus is the only elected seat he ever won, and it was marginal? Is that how low you have to go to survive? Pander to his idiot maga base? Shame on you.
The Most Trusted, my ass.

Malone is chairman of Liberty Media, Discovery's largest shareholder.
He previously donated $250,000 to Trump's inauguration, and gushed over Fox News' style of 'journalism,' saying, the U.S. "needs Fox News or something like it. Because otherwise, everythings leftist."
The use of his term "leftist" here really says it all.
Malone has also compared himself to Rupert Murdoch: "Rupert is sort of like I am. Hes a libertarian, but he thinks we should have a strong military," he told the Financial Times in 2017.
According to Vox, Malone has repeatedly wished, in public, for CNN to remake itself.

(4,385 posts)NO Trump, no Trump Town Hall. He should have no platform to spew his lies. I stopped watching CNN when you had racist Lou Dobbs. New CNN low treating a traitor like he should actually run for president again.

(22,590 posts)If you think THIS S.O.B. deserves a TV special all to himself, a free platform from which he can continue to weave his web of LIES, LIES, and MORE LIES, you are out of your damned minds.
I actually USED to have a lot of respect for CNN. If you actually do this, that will be the end of that. Oh well, I only watch MSNBC these days anyway, so I won't miss you at all. Hasta la vista, CNN.

(96,882 posts)If the interview is "softball" I'll complain. I'm not objecting in advance to a news network interviewing a major Presidential candidate, and I'd prefer that voters be aware of what Trump is saying in the run-up to the Primary season.

(5,104 posts)I don't want to live in a one-party state or with one-party media.
Trump is running. He's the leading Republican contender. I loathe the man as much as anyone here, and I'm looking forward to Joe Biden beating him like a drum (again).
But no way in hell do I believe that it is the role of responsible media to de-platform major candidates (when if we/they despise them).
I prefer to live in a liberal society. Sorry.

(31,178 posts)the more stupidity he shows even some of his fans are sick and tired of his same old arrogant act. I agree it's not the media's role to deplatform a major parties candidate.
