My guess as to why TFG agreed to the CNN Town Hall proposal:

CNN agreed that more seasoned hosts/journalists like Anderson Cooper and/or Wolf Blitzer would not interview or moderate Trump. That would allow Trump to control the entire show and to control the message.

pal Tucker at the Daily Caller. Since she’s a young right wing conservative, he probably figures he can manipulate her, and control the free infomercial disguised as a town hall meeting.
