NYC judge signals hell sign protective order against Trump, as former presidents lawyers ask to move Stormy Daniels hush money case to fed court

Donald Trumps lawyers in his criminal hush money case on Thursday said they would effort to move his case to federal court as Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg asked a judge to bar him from publicly discussing evidence in the case.
Trumps attorney, Todd Blanche, told Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan he planned to file the request later Thursday. By law, a defendant has 31 days from being arraigned on criminal charges to make such a request.
If it is rejected, Merchan told the prosecution and Trumps lawyers to plan for a trial date in February or March, instructing them to clear their schedules and not plan any vacations, new cases or other trials.
That also goes for Trump, whos running to become the 2024 Republican presidential nominee. He cant agree to any appearances, speaking arrangements or other events that would interfere with his availability for the trial, Merchan said.

It was becoming somewhat common and always annoying. I haven't seen it for a while, thought it had died. It should die.

(7,935 posts)no matter how much he thinks it would benefit him. He can't make plans for tomorrow, let alone months in advance. And we all KNOW he can't keep his mouth shut.
And show up in court in a consistent manner? Give me a break!!!!!

And of course, judge shopping. Trump is working any angle he's got.
This is not how innocent people behave.
