When you know that they are hiring morons to be police

Last edited Fri May 5, 2023, 05:22 AM - Edit history (1)

I just came across this report. It shows a California CHP officer handcuffing and arresting a First Responder firefighter for blocking the road, at the scene of an accident, while the firefighters are trying to extricate and care for injured accident victims.

I think it is time to start requiring that, at a minimum, all police must have an IQ which exceeds their shoe size.

One that I've seen made many times (here at DU - sadly - and elsewhere), where blocking or inconveniencing traffic is the Worstest Thing Ever.

Some important people for our country are teachers, nurses, and cops yet the fat ass politicians choose to underpay them. You get what you pay for and I guess you get the politicians we deserve.

contrasting (and contradictory?) policy on placement of vehicles responding to, and following, roadway crashes. There also seems to be a bit of pissing match concerning who sets the rules - and who is actually 'in charge' at the scene A little testosterone poisoning added into mix .. ?

is that the concept of "Law Enforcement" outweighs any concept of public safety or public service. That plus the exercise of an arrest for "Contempt of Cop" shows that the cretins which infest that department need to be removed from police work. And, from the country, if possible.

criminal record can get a badge and gun, with the power to execute people without any form of due process other than "I felt threatened".

but, arranging trucks to shield victims and firefighters from oncoming traffic for accident scene safety is an arrestable offense.
