I think he will too. But we disagree on the reasons for the two years of

the DOJ "not leaking" and not leaving the kind of paper trail that investigations necessarily entail.

That seems moot now, though, because Smith is leaving a paper trail that shows things moving quite quickly, almost from the moment he took office.

The question in my mind now is: what will Garland do with Smith's recommendations?

But I do agree with your comment that we could "learn where patience is appropriate." Allowing two and a half years to pass without touching the people who attempted to overthrow our democracy, and allowing them to legally grab for power again, is entirely inappropriate.
