Gun nuts love to trot out the

idea they need their modern day muskets to protect themselves against a "tyrannical government."

They fail to acknowledge that handing an AR-15 to every rube on the street makes them a potential tyrant who executes at will.

pass a law requiring all owners of military grade weapons to consent to being drafted. You say it’s for a well regulated militia. Well, there you go.

One day last year, I walked over to his house to ask permission to be in his yard to trim some bushes from his side of the yard and throw them into mine over the fence. I politely knocked on his back side door. I saw instantly a sticker that said..."I Have Guns and WILL USE them if necessary." There was a symbol of a firearm.

I turned back and went to my back yard. I was not going to take any chances. I cleaned up the bushes, leaving the ones on his side of the fence alone. The next day, I saw cut bush branches in my yard that he cut down and threw over the fence into my yard. Turns out, he was also flicking cigarette butts into our yard over the winter after we had moved out. My son called me about that a week ago and I relayed the story about the gun sticker.

Long story short, my son confronted the cowardly neighbor about the cigarette butts, said that new neighbors would be moving in in a few weeks and to stop being an asshole. We will see. My son is keeping an eye out.

I cannot go down to the local walfart and buy a stinger missile. I want a mortar why can't I have one. I can't have one because of gun control. I cannot have a fully auto AR. Because of gun control.
WE ARE NOT TRYING TO TAKE ALL GUNS. That is a right wing lie. The vast majority of Americans want reasonable gun laws!!!
There was a mass shooting 100 yards from my bedroom. I want gun control.

That is what we are asking for more gun reasonable gun control laws. Way to many people are being butchered.
It is not reasonable for me to own an fully auto AR. No one has a need for that gun.
I cannot buy a stinger missile. Which is reasonable. There is no legitimate use for citizens to own killing machines.

They live up in their heads, in a world formed from watching too many Rambo type movies and TV shows, and listening to right wing scare mongers. But now, they have created this horror of people getting killed in mass shootings practically every day. They twist and turn to try to avoid the reality of it - they made it easy for nuts to get guns.

I was grocery shopping yesterday - the guy in front of me had a holstered Glock, and we were maybe 3 feet apart in line for checkout. He was chatting with the cashier and not paying attention to anyone, including the person who was standing on the other side of him. I happened to have a large can of vegetables in my cart, and I though how easy it would be for me to clock him up side his head and take his gun away from him. But, hey, he thinks he is protecting himself against something.. And I'm thinking that the blood and deaths of all these innocents, is on his hands..
