Herschel Walker must be, or should be, sweating bullets over the Santos indictment.

The two schemes seem similar.

They both tricked donors into donating to the candidate’s own company.

A billionaire donor gave $535,200 to Herschel Walker for his senate campaign, but it went to his personal company instead: report

Herschel Walker, the former NFL running back who ran a failed senate campaign in Georgia, received $535,200 in political contributions that were wired to his personal company, The Daily Beast reported.

Walker received the sum meant for his 2022 senate campaign from his friend, billionaire Dennis Washington, the outlet reported on Wednesday.

Washington wired the money to Walker thinking it was a political contribution, reported The Daily Beast, citing emails between Washington's staff and Walker's campaign.

But the cash was deposited in an account for HR Talent, a firm owned by Walker that was never disclosed in his financial statements, The Daily Beast reported.

These ham-fisted embezzlement schemes are like taking candy from a baby for the DOJ.

There are already reports of donors squealing. I’m sure the subpoenas are flying for Walker’s bank accounts.

Granted Walker may have more capacity to backfill the accounts and amend his FEC reports. And it might be less obvious he used the money for personal use - unlike George who cleaned out the accounts and went on a Gucci Handbag spree.

But it still smell an awful lot like wire fraud - at the very least.

Not sure where Santos fits on the hanging fruit scale but he has to be somewhere near unelected Walker.

I’ll go on a limb and say 6 months for a Walker indictment.

Actually, I think we've seen the last of him.

He's a moron that the GOP tried to use.

They've dumped him now. The CTE will take care of the rest.
