This one simple unasked question would STUN Donald Trump

Kaitlan did fine, but she stuck to obvious questions that have been asked before and had scripted answers in the MAGA playbook.

I have a new question.

Let's say for the sake of discussion I grant that Team Biden bent or even broke some rules to win the 2020 election. This is actually an astounding feat when you consider the number of Republicans and independents involved in the election process as well as the level of automation, redundancy, and transparency involved. Yet somehow every smoking gun was concealed from Fox News, who failed to conclusively break what would have been the biggest story is US political history. They also outfoxed and outmaneuvered the incumbent Team Trump at every turn, who had all the same opportunities to play dirty and more.

So, the question is: shouldn't I vote for Biden considering he found more ways to succeed and produce results in this complicated political arena than Trump?

Arguing directly with the Republican narrative is to get mired in their quicksand trap.

My strategy is to accept their narrative for the sake of argument and follow it to its illogical end as a trap that I set.

How can they escape it?

They won't care if you are just "accepting their narrative". They will twist it as you admitted the wrongdoing and you are willing to vote for someone with no moral and stole the election.

But this is a tougher question to answer than the ones that have ready-made scripted answers. That's all I'm saying.

Would Trump be willing to bend the rules to make progress? Would Trump be willing to break the rules to make progress?

The real answer of course is yes. But what would he say?

If he admits to both, then don't we want the party that can do it better?

If he denies both, is that even remotely plausible given his reputation?

He's trapped.

He never care about the actual question. He just categorize it in the broadest term and goes back into his talking points, often times missing the point of the question. You are not going to trap him because he simply ignores all questions handed to him. That's why when he is in his right wing bubble, they only ask broad questions.

Most interviews with Trump are pointless. But with every interview there is a chance of unveiling some hard truths. The Chris Wallace 2020 interview did lasting damage. He didn't spar with him, he let Trump do most of the talking.

The media can be a force for good. What's typical and what's possible are two different things.

Which is why Trump thinks that not only is 1945 too far back to consider (since he wants to be the reincarnated Bad-Hair-Fuhrer), 2016 is too far back to consider (because he wants to grab elections and women), January 6th 2021 is too far back to consider (because he wants to murder democracy and its supporters), and January 7th and 20th 2021 is too far back to consider (because he failed to actually successfully murder democracy). Hence all of the poison since.

If they stole the election for Biden, why didn't they steal enough Representatives and Senators to have strong majorities of each?

It's along the same lines. Accept their original flawed premise, and then follow it to the illogical conclusion.

This is not a group known for understanding nuance, recognizing contradictions, acknowledging (or feeling bad about) hypocrisy, being affected by cognitive dissonance, or having any ability to consider context.

The response to this question will 100% be:

Hurr! Hurr! Hurr! You admitted Biden cheated! Hunters laptop! Pedophile! Hurr! Hurr! Hurr!

He's like one of those spoken word poets who can take any phrase and turn it into something else. Except in his case, it's a grift. Instead of making something admirable, he ignores the question and just jumps straight to self-promotion and outright lies.

Journalist: "Shouldn't I vote for Biden considering he found more ways to succeed and produce results in this complicated political arena than you?"

Trump: "Biden? I heard you mention Biden. He's a crook. His son's a crook, too, I'll tell you that. My Justice Department was...[insert more flatulent noises here]"

Here are some, much more simple, that might at least send him into a rage. Certainly, they would be unexpected:

How can we trust a man who cheats on all his wives?

Why did you bury your second wife at a golf course?

Your second wife also accused you of rape. Care to comment?

If you really are a billionaire, how come you keep asking us for money?

Do you still like to walk into girl's dressing rooms, like you did when you were hosting beauty pageants?

Or:

You say you're a Christian. Finish this sentence: "Blessed are the meek..."

Or even:

Did you ever figure out how to close an umbrella?
