Joe Biden saved Chris Licht's life.

https://nypost.com/2022/06/27/cnn-boss-chris-licht-biden-saved-my-life-after-aneurism/

According to the memoir, Biden called the hospital that was treating Licht and arranged to have him evaluated by a top neurosurgeon.

The neurosurgeon is reported to have examined Licht in order to assess the severity of his condition. Shortly afterward, the doctor is said to have made treating Licht a top priority, according to the memoir.

Licht writes that Biden periodically checked in on him and his wife.

Months later, Licht attended at a party at the vice president’s residence at the US Naval Observatory in the capital. It was there that Licht credited Biden with saving his life, according to the memoir.

“He is a great and kind person, and the photo taken that day of Jenny and me being embraced by the vice president of the United States will live on in our family forever,” he said.

The subtext of the messages certainly seems to be that Licht somehow owes President Biden that he is not delivering because of CNN's current scope of coverage.

The above quote for context; Licht is appreciative and gracefully so. So, in light of this:

Guess money overrides any gratefulness for saving ones life.
Talk about stabbing somebody in the back.
No good deed goes unpunished.
Ingrate is as ingrate does.
Karma is coming for you, dude.
But Trump-promoting Licht today to Biden: "but what have you done for me lately?"

All of these comments suggest (to my reading) that the baseline appreciation for President Biden's life-saving help is not sufficient; that somehow he should be looking to give President Biden something more than appreciation.

You are obviously entitled to your opinion if you think the collection of comments above doesn't indicate the same subtext to you. But I stand by my comments.

I read the OP as saying how Biden helped to save Licht, and simply complaining that Licht is using his new found life to do bad things like promote Trump.

If you choose to read more into the statement, then perhaps some self reflection?

Republicans he texted with on Jan 6 can take the weight of the damage off the country as a whole.
In addition to all the other aiders and abetters like Flynn and the rest at the Doral this weekend. This massive DOJ project has gotten no overturned convictions, 100% on every seditious conspirator they've 'due processed,' and that's what will work in the next 19 months.

I can list the aiders and abetters list if you like.

Media want a horserace. The voters proved that they didn't normalize Trump in 2020, and those, and even more voters for Biden, will prove it again.

Don't believe the fear hype. It's part of the horse race that anti-Biden corporate media run.

Jack Smith's going to outrun media. Once he files, he'll be all that media can carry on about.

After 8 years, they haven’t figured out that using normal journalistic methods completely fail with him, and he rolls them every time.

In the meantime, Trump is given an enormous microphone to blast out his toxic ignorance and hatred to a willing audience of millions. This is very damaging and we see the ugly roots of fascism taking hold across our country.

I have every confidence in Jack Smith and Merrick Garland. However it will take much more than the DOJ to protect us from the oncoming wave of fascism in America.

We are at war and giving the enemy any advantage at any juncture is never a good idea .

Given the media’s ongoing failures with Trump, I’m not betting on them. They they can be counted on to put profits ahead of our democracy. The CNN debacle is only the most recent example and you can bet they will do it again.

Not only for its profitability but for its tendency to present drama to humans who also love drama over boring rational data, or reality. So yeah, I'm not betting on them, either. This event just hardened the opposing audiences, and it reminded other media of how toxic drama isn't good business or good journalism.

You're probably right that CNN & trump have made a win-win pact for short term gain. I just thought that Licht also brought some unintended good in this particular event.
