patriotism leads to an inability to actually feel true empathy for your fellow man.

Hey, you're poor? Must be your fault, chump.

dominate the landscape no matter what. There was a time under FDR....a stable pathway existed, and for many reasons the doors still keep shutting many out of that dream.

I know some think Lincoln is the greatest but FDR is in my book the all time greatest.

A man with a vision, took the US out of the Great Depression.
Established a safety net for the American people.
The New Deal.
Civil Rights.
Established govt agencies to protect the people.
Won WWII.

FDR wanted the US to work not just for the rich, but for all the people.
People were so grateful for what he did.

Americans showed so much courage fighting in WWII.
Fighting for democracy.

Now many Americans will gladly vote out democracy and not think twice about it.
