Take back the word "conservative". The right in this country is not conservative in any way.

Knocking that word out of their marketing would be tactically smart.

How? Call it out in social media, letters to the editor, posts on media sm accounts, even here. Everywhere. In conversations too.

Remember when 'liberal' was made radioactive in public discourse? Turn about is fair play.

It's the *only* branding they've left standing that resonates well with the middle they are pushing to extremes. It's the only branding they have beside racism. Take it back!

I wouldn't be so quick to rehabilitate the term, or ideology. Conservatism in the sense of wanting slower, incremental change may have some appeal, but that is not what Conservatism is actually about.
