In just 4 years, a doubling of insanity...

It’s like a spreading psychosis

Never knew stupidity was itself such an infectious disease

This is astonishing. Between 2019 and 2023, the % of Republicans who said parents should be able to put their kids in public school without the MMR vaccine (even if it creates health risks for others), more than doubled, from 20% to 42%.

vaccines, almost all of them, do not prevent infection... what they prevent is the infection becoming serious. What prevents infection is herd immunity. Herd immunity is created by having the vaccines prevent the virus from becoming so widespread in an animal that they begin to shed the virus to others. Only a trained immune system will attack the virus and prevent it from becoming an issue for the host. Vaccines train the immune system.

So... if they stop doing vaccines... then we all are at risk.

Previously, when people were not mind fucked and anti-science, enough people were vaccinated and kept their vaccines current to prevent the spread of diseases. However, if 20 percent of the population become "anti-vax" than the spread of some very old diseases will come back to haunt humanity... and be very dangerous to those people who, for various allergic conditions, cannot be vaccinated.

Wanda Sykes once said, "They are idiots! (Those who feel the vaccine magically makes the entire thing go away and therefore everyone should stop wearing masks or being smart about distance.) It doesn't mean you won't get it. It means you won't DIE if you do!"

dooming their children (and others) to lifelong (if they live) complications.

As far as I am concerned, not vaccinating in child abuse and they should be removed from the home. Children should not suffer the consequences of their parents' ignorance.

This, of course, confirms every anti-vaxxers decision to send their kid to school without vaccinations and they come home healthy.

I don't know how many cases, injuries, and deaths it will take to disconfirm their decisions.

so why should they have their precious darlings have to endure the shot?

Thank Fakebook for that one. It's where most of the deniers get their medical information.

Heaven forbid they consult the CDC or Johns Hopkins, both of which have user friendly articles.

They mostly move to independent or libertarian. So, the stupid people who remain are much more radical than the Republicon party was in the past. There use to be normal people in the that party and they diluted the more crazy radical GOP. Now it's just straight up idiots and the filthy rich who are the remaining proud members in that party.

So, yeah, as each year pass, Republicons get more and more crazy. Eventually it will be a party of about 1,000. 300 of them the filthy rich and the remaining 700 just straight up wackos and psychopaths.

Especially with the crazies treating public schools like their private indoctrination centers and religious training camps.

They still get to pick the primary candidates. Which is why those candidates keep getting more extreme and less qualified.

As long as those defectors continue to support the GOP candidates then they are a huge part of the problem. They have done nothing but cede responsibility for the direction of the party while continuing to give it power.

Right wing media is largely to blame because they have so demonized liberals that the defectors would still rather vote for the crazy than the imagined evil that the Democrats represent.
