“Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said on Tuesday he will send state law enforcement officers to the southern border in Texas, a tactical maneuver that will test how far the state will go to help enforce immigration law as the Republican governor prepares to launch a presidential campaign,” the Miami Herald reports.

“The governor’s office said hundreds of state troopers, police and national guard soldiers, plus boats and planes, are ready to head to the border as early as Wednesday.”

the only police in a jurisdiction are local, state, and federal... and all must be sworn officers of THAT JURISDICTION.

If they go there and do anything (like try to enforce some law or draw a weapon), I'm pretty sure they can be arrested and jailed for federal crimes.

will remedy that.

A few years ago our Sheriff's department had two of their Deputies sworn in as DEA agents to go after marijuana growers. And they refused to tell the public which Deputies they were.

I've had that experience in state border issues the sheriff of the state can deputize but it was for overlapping issues. Not a 1000 mile location.

He is using Florida tax money to help control an international border in Texas, which is under federal jurisdiction?

And they accuse democrats on spending money foolishly
