https://www.mediaite.com/news/cnn-colleagues-praise-christiane-amanpour-after-she-criticizes-networks-trump-town-hall/Veteran CNN International anchor, Christiane Amanpour, received a bevy of support from colleagues this week after she spoke candidly about her boss Chris Licht and the networks recent Trump town hall.

Senior CNN producer Eliza Mackintosh echoed that exact sentiment: Christiane @Amanpour addresses CNNs decision to host Trump town hall, delivering a masterclass in journalism and sharing her mantra: Be truthful, but not neutral. Bothsiderism on the one hand, on the other hand is not always objectivity. It does not get you to the truth.
Anchor Isa Soares also tweeted the quote, as well as a link to CNN media reporter Oliver Darcys story on the Amanpour criticism. That story led Darcys Reliable Sources newsletter on Wednesday night.
Other CNN journalists tweeted out a link to the Darcy report, including CNN Chief International Investigative Correspondent Nima Elbagir, Jon Passantino, the editor of Reliable Sources, and CNN journalist Wynn Westmoreland. CNN anchor Jake Tapper retweeted Westmorelands post.

According to the article, Licht called Darcy into his office after seeing what he wrote in his Reliable Sources newsletter.
Darcy wrote in today's newsletter that he'll be taking a pre-planned vacation till the middle of next week...but he insists this really is just that, a planned vacation to celebrate his wife's birthday.

(70,592 posts)4. CNN is now trying to unring the bell they rung ...
... so loudly and proudly. They gave a platform to a
person who might just be the biggest traitor in America
history and A Cooper's act didn't help either.
