(77,276 posts)18 years, $4,800 adjusted upward for inflation over time.
Cost of gym shoes ages 6-16 $2,000. Just for shoes. No food, no clothes, no toys, no sports equipment or musical instruments, ......
Just shoes, over 10 years, not 18.
Easy to look up on the internet, so easily disproven nonsense by an empty headed drone.

(11,767 posts)To Boebert, it is likely a "throw away" line she thought was clever when it was coming out of her mouth. I don't think that she is actually intelligent enough to understand what she actually said or is implying by the statement.
She is either very stupid (I am sure of this), OR she was trying to make some kind of statement about the cost of medications, OR she was making some kind of stupid statement about being glad she actually didn't follow through with preventing a pregnancy.
The statement, as I said, is really stupid and may have been a statement meant to provoke a reaction or discussion, had it come out of the mouth of someone less stupid.
I doubt that if she were asked, that she could actually provide an answer that would even clarify the comment. She would most likely try to avoid situations where she was even asked about the comment, or would fall back on the standard, "attack the media for gotcha questions schtick that Conservative idiots hide behind these days."
Bottom line is that she is an idiot.

(31,237 posts)for a nominal fee (been awhile so I can't remember exactly what amount) but way cheaper then a kid.
Boebert is delusional or is bringing her kids up with absolutely nothing like food, clothing, roof over their head, dentist etc etc.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
