Book-banning Florida woman apologizes for promoting infamous anti-Semitic textBook

"Daily Salinas, the Florida woman whose complaint led a local elementary school to remove a poem that was read at President Joe Biden's inauguration, is apologizing for promoting one of the most infamously anti-Semitic pieces of literature ever written.

The Jewish Telegraphic Agency reports that Salinas used her Facebook page to promote "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion," a text that purports to tell of a Jewish plot for world domination that was fabricated in Russia by anti-Semites in the early 20th Century.

Despite the fact that the "Protocols" are a forgery, they have nonetheless been used for decades by anti-Semites to justify the oppression of Jewish people throughout the world.

After being informed of the book's nature, Salinas said that she wanted to "apologize to the Jewish community" and insisted that "I love the Jewish community."

Since she was in whatever grade students stop reading picture books. What--3rd grade? I don't remember when that transition was, since I was reading the kind of books without pictures when I was in kindergarten. Kids' books, true, but still the kind without pictures.
