They hypothesize based on variables that would not be used at election time.

Candidates are not in full campaign mode.
The primaries haven't determined the candidates.
The state and national conventions haven't convened yet.
The campaign ads haven't made it to the air yet.
The GOP are scared of Trump and don't know who will be their candidate.

Trump still has to deal with a multitude of indictments.
