Or Forever Hold Your Peace ...

It's no secret. The GOP is now the party of bigots, racists, gun-humpers, and ignorant illiterates determined to destroy democracy.

Their heroes are insurrectionists and murderers, their 'Christianity' is based on hypocrisy, and their 'family values' includes forcing women and female children to carry their rapists' babies to term.

Their concept of 'freedom' is citizens being told what they are allowed to read, to say, and to wear.

Their 'leader' is a twice-impeached, indicted liar currently under investigation for numerous crimes, including attempting to overthrow our government. And their idea of 'strength' is to kiss his ass and kow-tow to his every insane demand.

Now is the time for any and all Republicans who don't want to be forever associated with the party of conspiracy-spewing whackjobs to stand up and speak out - and in case you haven' noticed, time is running out.

2. I'm 75 years old and the only "good" Republicans I remember

were the two or three sitting on the US Senate Watergate Committee…but then again I was a young mother with a sick baby working two jobs to get my husband through law school, perpetually stressed and overtired so I could be wrong about the two or three Republicans on the Watergate Committee…

6. I remember those days. Howard Baker who was a good guy,

and Lowell Weicker - who I remember as a good guy, and Ed Gurney - who I barely remember at all. Maybe because he didn't distinguish himself like the others did. And Sam Dash was chief counsel, with Fred Thompson as minority counsel. He'd become a Senator in his own right, in later years.

The Repubs had three members, and the Dems had four - Sam Ervin who chaired. Daniel Inouye, Joseph Montoya, and Herman Talmadge

What memories, what memories...

5. Ike was probably the lasr good Republican.

He started the Interstate system, which has proven to be one of our greatest infracture accompishments, in my humble opinion. Can you imagine trying to get that passed now?

8. "there will come a day when Donald Trump is gone, but your dishonor will remain"

Liz Cheney holds some of the nastiest RW views, but when push came to shove she stood up as a patriot.

10. The last Republican for whom I had a modicum of respect

was Sen. Charles Percy of Illinois. That was very very long ago.
