Trumps Lawyers Start to Wonder If One Could Be a Snitch
STITCHES
Theres plenty of bad blood among Trumps team of lawyers. But theres also a new concern that someone could turn on the rest of the team.

With three anticipated indictments, two ongoing court cases, and an ever-expanding cadre of lawyers, former President Donald Trump is at a critical junctureand yet his legal advisers are starting to turn on each other.
According to five sources with direct knowledge of the situation, clashing personalities and the increasing outside threat of law enforcement has sown deep divisions that have only worsened in recent months. The internal bickering has already sparked one departure in recent weeksand that could be just the beginning.
As Trumps legal troubles keep growingwith criminal and civil investigations in New York City, Washington, and Atlantaso too does the unwieldy band of attorneys who simply cant get along.
The cast of characters includes an accused meddler who has Trumps ear, a young attorney who lawyers on the team suggested is only there because the former president likes the way she looks, and a celebrity lawyer whos increasingly viewed with disdain. Worst of all, now that federal investigators have turned the interrogation spotlight on some of Trumps lawyers themselves, defense attorneys on the team seem to be questioning whether their colleagues may actually turn into snitches.

(8,807 posts)Have no merit, it shows what low life's and incompetents he hires. They really are incapable of mounting a defense, so they just file delays.

(114 posts)Trump's damaged goods now, and has a pretty established history of not repaying loyalty, not to mention not paying his lawyers. The type of lawyers that are willing to take him on as a client at this point aren't the types who are going to go down with the ship, especially as it becomes increasingly clear that he's used them in the furtherance of a crime.

(25,355 posts)It's how he controls people. I'd say that in court cases that tactic works against him, but I suspect that he wants to use the chaos and resulting losses of attorneys as an excuse to delay court appearances and trials until after the 2024 election. He expects to rig the election well enough, with help from red state MAGA politicians, to "win," put his own people in DOJ, and have all charges and investigations against him dismissed.

Oh this is good:
According to five sources with direct knowledge of the situation, clashing personalities and the increasing outside threat of law enforcement has sown deep divisions that have only worsened in recent months. The internal bickering has already sparked one departure in recent weeksand that could be just the beginning.
Now that federal investigators have turned the interrogation spotlight on some of Trumps lawyers themselves, defense attorneys on the team seem to be questioning whether their colleagues may actually turn into snitches.
There are two already under suspicion:
The Department of Justice already has one Trump attorneys professional notes.
The DOJ has another lawyer who said too much in an unrelated case and has positioned herself as yet another potential witness against Trump:
Prosecutors have already questioned Trumps attorney Alina Habba, who put herself in an impossible situation when she declared in the New York AGs case that she thoroughly searched every nook and cranny at Mar-a-Lago for documents relevant in that business fraud caseonly to have the FBI later find classified documents in those desk drawers and cabinets months later.
That puts immense pressure on her to become a witness against Trump.
If Habba would turn on Trump, hed be completely f*cked.
