Bolton would be fun, but I can't see how he raises enough money to be more than a two state flop. Christie would probably be a strong alternative to DeSantis for never Trumpers. But can any of these people pull in Trumpers?

Because Americans aren't bright enough to adopt ranked preference / instant runoff voting, then for each "actual" candidate who enters the race, a Trump surrogate with similar appeal will also enter the race.

The way you really rig winner-take-all elections is to make sure that you can divide the opposing vote among a bunch of "me too" candidates.
