'National embarrassment': Judge heaps shame on MAGA rioter who echoed sovereign citizen rhetoric

Ajudge on Tuesday heaped scorn upon Pauline Bauer, a Capitol rioter who became known for deploying sovereign citizen-style rhetoric in her legal defense filings.

CBS News' Scott MacFarlane reports that United States District Court Judge Trevor McFadden gave Bauer a verbal lashing from the bench in which he shamed her for illegally breaking into the United States Capitol building on January 6th, 2021 and calling for the hanging of then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

"You were part of a national embarrassment," McFadden told Bauer, according to MacFarlane. "The crimes you and others committed were things Americans never thought they’d see."

And that's not all, as McFadden also informed Bauer that "you repeatedly perjured yourself." He said she "showed shocking lack of remorse" for her actions, while also displaying "a pattern of disrespect for government institutions."

So in the end she got 27 months... She should have gotten more just for her sovereign citizen bullshit.

The sentencing:

“…Judge McFadden said that the United States Department of Justice's sentencing recommendations for Bauer were too high and he gave her a 27-month prison sentence.”

After all that, he gave her a lesser sentence.

I may be wrong, but I don’t know of a single sentencing of any of the the January 6th seditionists got the full prosecutor’s sentencing recommendation.

of our cold civil war

DeSantis pledging his agenda is to 'destroy the Left' is pretty much a declaration of war on Democrats...

because, you know, according to the not so unbiased Right, every Democrat is on "the extreme Left"

I think making her "sovereign governor" of an 8x10 cell for the next 15 years would've been a good compromise.
