(9,624 posts)North Carolina to pick up some House and Senate seats, the Dems might get more ideals.
Senator Warren, dont be Ralph Nader or Susan Sarandon.

(667 posts)Biden had no intention of extending the forgiveness, hence why he was going to let it lapse in September (or August) anyway. Biden made that clear when he announced his forgiveness plan.

Others can swallow the bitter pill, knowing there are other benefits gained from passing the bill.

In the meantime.. Thank you Pres Biden.. I don't want to be kicked out in the Street bc I and Millions don't have our Social Security Checks each month. And, the Economy gets Blown UP.

(13,369 posts)Because of the damn republicans extorting our country and he lets them fuck us disabled and poor people over to appease monsters I will be unable to forgive Biden for it. I will still vote for him to stop the fascist pig republicans, but it will become a hold your nose and vote situation.

(58,785 posts)her explaining the HUGE need to pass this agreement.
* Statement of strong factional/ideological disapproval for the headline.
* Explanation of need to vote for it anyway.
* Reassurance that we're the grownups able to make hard choices and do what needs to be.
This is a very common pattern.

(4,002 posts)The whole MagaT Freedom Caucus will vote against it
I'm hopeful there won't be a lot of Democrats voting against it. The reality is I think this will pass. Not appearing too "extreme" and "fringe" in the vote is some Democrats can use in the next election. Republicans want to crash the economy. They'll fail. But let them go on the record trying. Don't join them.

(797 posts)But, if they needed her vote for it to pass, she'd fall in line faster than a Baptist at a church potluck. I don't find that position all that unreasonable, actually.
Anyway, this will give her a couple days to scold some folks. There's no one better at it!

(2,575 posts)If the GOP manages to sabotage this and it goes down in the House, the entire blame is on the GOP.
She is decent at running for Senate in a solidly blue state. She isn't good for national politics.
