CNN going all-out to host GOP presidential debate.

“CNN boss Chris Licht has told the RNC that CNN would air the debate not just on its linear feed, but also potentially on the linear networks of other Warner Bros. Discovery channels, two sources told Axios. By including those channels, Licht has argued, CNN could reach more conservatives than Fox, as well as independent voters.”

“Licht also has offered to partner with a conservative-leaning outlet on the debates. That partnership, two sources told Axios, could include giving a journalist from the partner outlet a co-moderator spot.”

... CNN would not be my first choice. Their debate "brand" was sealed for me when Bernard Shaw asked, "if Kitty Dukakis were raped and murdered..." But, I guess the GOP might like CNN hosting...

And the light was too bright to ignore. To quote Joni, it's clouds illusions I recall.

I expect viewership for Nikki Haley might crack 1,000. Mike Pence might get 500. As for Chris Christie, there's a real chance CNN will do something never done before: hit negative numbers. LOL.

Very rarely watch CNN anymore. Jake Tapper’s, “foaming at the mouth”, over the top criticism of President Biden due to the flawed Afghanistan withdrawal was disgraceful, way beyond reporting the news, and this was even before Licht.

Licht is openly saying we are partnering with conservative outlets. He isn’t even trying to hide it.

The so-called “trump town hall”, was made up of an audience of exclusively trump supporters. If this was a station trying to be objective, they would have included republicans that were not trump supporters, along with some independents.

Licht has made it pretty clear by actions the direction he wants to go

It doesn't help with bad actors like Licht, eager to put their thumbs on the scale.

Where is the League of Women Voters? Where is our Fairness Doctrine?

I find CNN's middle-of-the-night programming to be good; it's largely international news.
