NC requires public school teachers to hold a license.

Durham, NC's Mt. Zion Christian Academy receives public $ for vouchers. They require their teachers to demonstrate their relationship w/the Holy Spirit by speaking in tongues.

A license is optional.

thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put away the ways of childhood behind me . . .

(from a recently discovered manuscript with an oddly relevant new ending to the verse).

until I realized I could continue to talk like a child and not have to study hard and get a license and move to NC and use all those things from my childhood to get a cushy job from a bunch of soft headed church hypocrites and charm a bunch of young teachers.

I can speak in tongue.

When I visit such churches were people rise up to speak unintelligibly, I am always tempted to raise and interpret the message, not in ways the congregation would expect.

In the Bible, in Acts, people of varied languages all understand what was said in Aramaic; this is not an exhortation to babble nonsense in a non-language that no one around understands.

Talking in tongue only demonstrates gullibility and fantasy-mindedness. Better to show one is in the spirit by acting nice, accepting, friendly, helpful, etc.

How do I say "scam" or "grift" or "the hell with separation of church and state" in tongues gibberish?
