California is investigating who sent 16 migrants from Texas to doorstep of Sacramento diocese

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Sacramento on Friday received some unexpected visitors: 16 migrants from South America who had been flown in on a private chartered jet from New Mexico after being transported from the border town of El Paso without any coordination with the church or with California authorities.

Their arrival on the diocese’s doorstep, for which no politician or organization has yet to publicly claim responsibility, adds fuel to a controversy over similar ploys by conservative politicians in Republican-led states.

They and their supporters have said the efforts are aimed at raising awareness of the influx of migrants over the southern border and bringing the issue to the doorsteps of authorities in states led by Democrats. Opponents describe the moves as cruel political stunts that use immigrants as pawns and leave them many miles from family, resources and even the courthouses where they are often expected to appear to plead their cases for asylum.

Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, said in a statement that he and Democratic Atty. Gen. Rob Bonta on Saturday met with more than 12 of the migrants, who “were transported from Texas to New Mexico before being flown by private chartered jet to Sacramento and dumped on the doorstep of a local church without any advance warning.”

Impound the Busses or Aircraft moving those migrants.

Detain the drivers and Pilots for "questioning"...
Yes they will probably get the busses and planes back after a while but holding them up will hopefully stop the owners of said transport. and And AND cost them some $$$ and make them think twice about pulling this stunt again.
What cha tink?

Impound them until they find out who is responsible. If these migrants were tricked and lied too (which it sounds like) it borders on fraud or kidnapping or something.

These migrants are being exploited, but the government only cares if the exploitation is sexual or for their labor.

We need to correct that to include any kind of exploitation, even for political reasons, but it won't happen with the current crop of clowns in the house.

"We are also evaluating potential criminal or civil action against those who transported or arranged for the transport of these vulnerable immigrants," he added. "While this is still under investigation, we can confirm these individuals were in possession of documentation purporting to be from the government of the State of Florida."

The other tell was that they moved them from Texas to New Mexico first. Abbott wouldn't bother to do that. And DeSantis is dumb enuf to think doing that would be smart.

And who arranges such transfers and then buses them from the airport in California to the final destination? Who pays for it..a PAC or me, as a taxpayer? DeSantis is maybe thinking since he’s on the campaign trail, no one would suspect hm but he’s on a 3 day fundraising event in Texas!

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the special legislative session’s migrant relocation program bill into law.

Making the announcement that the bill was now part of the state statutes on Twitter, DeSantis said he signed the legislation to send “illegal aliens to sanctuary jurisdictions” to protect Floridians from the immigration policies of President Joe Biden.

The bill passed in the February special legislative session, on a largely partisan divide, was written to repeal and replace the less definitive program created in 2022’s fiscal year budget.

The program, a $12 million appropriation to move migrants without proper authorization,to other parts of the U.S. was used just once to fly nearly 50 individuals to Martha’s Vineyard, Mass. in September.

Which absolutely pissed me off and so now..another 12 million for shuffling migrants all over from Texas. Meanwhile..the state of affairs on the home front go from bad to worse..our home insurance rates are now driving homeowners out of their homes. This place is a mess..

from NM to CA there should be flight records that can be used to track the owner of the plane, who chartered it, the pilot/crew etc. and trace it all back. If they fail to divulge the info then it's time to revoke on the pilot and plane as far as any authorization to fly. I would be curious to know if these charters are paid for in cash, by check, by credit card etc. Time to start freezing bank accounts for investigation of fraud, money laundering etc.
