IIRC, the same type of thing happened just before Alvin Bragg did his indictments, where he "preemptively" predicted over a weekend (3/18/23) that "Tuesday" (3/21/23) would be the day when he would be arrested, which turned out wrong.

Eventually it was officially announced over 2 weeks later on a Monday (4/3/23) and occurred on Tuesday (4/4/23).
