The panel welcomed the South Carolina politician to the show for a multi-segment discussion on a wide range of topics, including his thoughts on racism in America after he publicly clashed with longtime View cohost Joy Behar over the issue.
"When it comes to racial inequality, it persists in five core aspects in the United States," Sunny Hostin said to Scott. "You have indicated that you don't believe in systemic racism. What is your definition of systemic racism?" As he defended his position, Hostin cut in to talk about homelessness in the Black community, to which Scott replied: "You had your chance to ask the question. I've watched you on the show. You like people to be deferential and respectful, so, I'm going to do the same thing."
Shortly after the heated exchange, moderator Whoopi Goldberg attempted to throw the show to commercial, telling Scott, "I need an opportunity, because I have to go to break. They're begging." Scott pushed back, telling the Oscar-winning Ghost actress that he was "just getting started" before standing up from his chair. "I believe all people can see the success that I've had," he said before catching himself and sitting back down. "Oh, oh, okay."
As Scott proceeded to talk, Goldberg apparently had issues diverting the show to commercial, requesting help from the show's staff. "Go up and tell him. Go tell him!" Goldberg shouted from her post, and the crew member ran on stage to tell Scott to stop talking. "We have to go to commercial. We'll come back. You'll stick around," the man said, to Scott's seeming dismay.
Next, it was Navarro's turn to ask Scott a question, and she used her time to wish the audience a "Happy Pride" ahead of requesting the politician's response to Florida governor Ron DeSantis' ongoing battle with Disney. The conflict was sparked by the entertainment company's resistance to the state's controversial "Don't Say Gay" bill. When Scott suggested that LGBTQIA+ topics had "indoctrinated" people, the View audience began to boo.

Having said that, he is VERY right when it comes to abortion, and his views are not in concert with the majority of america there. If people want to tease that out of him, they can do it.

How the hell does he not understand the concept of commercial breaks? Or directing your reply to the person who asked you a question. Give me a freaking break.
I need to go find video of this, because trying to imagine all this in my head is about to break my brain.

Now that I've seen the whole thing, all I can say is, what a pompous, arrogant, delusional, rude ass! He must not be used to talking to interviewers who actually challenge him. The only thing that made it halfway bearable was Sunny, Ana, and Whoopi side eyeing him so hard I'm surprised he didn't feel it physically, like a rain of tiny fists on his back. The way he tried to take over the whole show was the worst. I already didn't like him, based on what I knew about him, and now I can unequivocally say that I can't stand him!
Republicans love his type, though: a successful business owner who got rich through his own hard work and blah blah blah. "Bootstraps, he's got 'em and he pulled himself up by 'em, which means all the rest of y'all can, too, 'Murica fuck yeah!" *gag*
It's too bad for him that his party is mired in white supremacist "Get all the non white, non 'Christian,' non cishet 'others' and string 'em all up!" rage politics right now. Just like Haley, Pence, and whoever else, he'll be no competition for Trump or even second stringer DeSantis. There's the door, Tim, don't let it hit you on the way out! Should I laugh or cry? I don't even know!

I think that's a step over the line for any white person to lecture a black person about racism.
