Trump Lawyers Seek Meeting With Garland Over Special Counsel Inquiries

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/05/23/us/politics/trump-lawyers-meeting-garland-special-counsel.html

Two lawyers for the former president asserted that he was being treated unfairly in the investigations into his handling of classified documents and his efforts to remain in power.

My very unconventional, highly unlikely, outside-the-box scenario: As soon as the Trump entourage lands in Moscow or St. Petersburg, it is liquidated by Russian security while the jet is still on the tarmac. The useful idiot will have fulfilled his role, and Putin turns American politics upside-down once again. The MAGAbillies will scream for vengeance against their former Russian idol, while Biden and the Democrats will condemn the murder of an indicted Russian asset. Plus, cats and dogs will sleep together.

My more conventional alternative: Trump and his entourage skip off to UAE, where there is golf, money, young women to ogle, and no extradition treaty.

This is Weissmann's reasoning, basically it wasn't Trump's lawyers who initiated the request for the meeting with DOJ, it was DOJ giving trump one last chance to argue his case before indictments fall.

This is the last step before indictments, one last chance was given to Trump.

Lock him the fuck up. I waited to post that.
