This next Presidential campaign....
This will play out in predictable tRump fashion.....tRump will be the GOP nominee even being under indictments.....trial delay etc....he will burn down the GOP.....That said...all will be a a cluster muck and frenzied campaign as never seen before.....
I sense the heat will get too strong before the actual election November 2024...tRump will take a trip overseas and just not come back...No time for GOP to really select a viable replacement candidate as the tRumper Maga voters and any breathing republican will be in shock.....tRump on the ballot and no where in the USA..... Biden wins.
Quick synopsis for ya as my prediction....

(54,387 posts)1.) The nominee's name will not be Trump, DeSantis, Haley or Pence
2.) #1 won't matter, because Joe Biden will win re-election, even if he falls up the stairs a few times.

(7,620 posts)is a third party candidate that splits the vote and would more than likely give Trump a victory. I hope that is not the case but I would not be at all surprised if it were initiated by the GOP themselves understanding that is probably the only way they can win. That would be a tremendous tragedy for not only America but the world.
There are rumors of this taking shape under the umbrella term "No Label Party". Sadly there seems to be a pretty large group of people that could do a protest vote if their "favorite" candidate isn't the nominee. I hope that everyone or both sides remember the Trump/Hillary race. At that time I think a lot of the "pro-Bernie" people (of which I was one) didn't vote and I think it might have cost Hillary the race.
Under normal circumstances this would not happen but out elections are now controlled by a lot of dark and hidden money and I would not put it past the powers that be trying this strategy. I hope there are some roadblock erected in lieu of this possibility. ☮

(12,402 posts)off the top of my head...all of the GOP candidates are stained with a deep tRump affiliation, association....They chose poorly so to speak....they can not wash off the stench of tRump.....

(28,819 posts)Not one of these is considering a primary bid against Biden because Biden is the best candidate by far.
Not one potential Republican or third party candidate stacks up to any that might primary Biden in his own party.
Biden wins in landslide and no Republican gets a pardon.

(7,620 posts)of who the GOP nominee is and if there is a third party, of course they have no chance of winning, but could pull enough votes to throw the election. After all about 6 States will determine who will be the next POTUS.

(28,819 posts)No one in any party can beat Biden. No one is going to pull enough votes away from Joe no matter how you phrase it.

I don't think 2024 is going to be any shoe in for Biden by a long shot.

As a real prediction-
You should check out car prices right now because the bottom is about to hit. Dealers are dumping used cars at auction 10-20% less then they were 3 months ago. New car ads show 2.4 - 3.8 interest rates for well qualified buyers. A year ago they all showed zero percent interest.
