The owner of a popular bar and restaurant on Cape Cod is being investigated by Barnstable police after video of him hurling racial slurs and acting aggressively toward another man surfaced.
Millyan Phillips told NewsCenter 5 on Monday that he called the police on John Shea last week after he and his friends saw Shea clearly drinking and driving. Phillips believes Shea found out about that call, which led him to make violent threats.
"He basically came up and started harassing me, saying I didn't belong here and calling me a monkey and stuff," Phillips said. "Like: 'I'm going to shoot you. I'll get you shot with a shotgun. I'll shoot you in the back of the head.'"
Shea is the owner of Trader Ed's on Hyannis Harbor, not far from the West Yarmouth line. The video shows the incident with Phillips happened on Main Street in Hyannis, near the emBargo restaurant.
