A federal judge Tuesday granted media organizations requests to unseal the names of the people who cosigned Rep. George Santoss (R-N.Y.) $500,000 bond in his criminal fraud case.
The order is a blow to Santos, whose attorney Monday asked a judge to keep the names of the bond cosigners sealed. The congressmans lawyer, Joseph Murray, expressed concern for the sponsors should their identities be revealed, citing a media frenzy around the Santos case.

I can't see how it negatively impacts the suretor unless they themselves have something to hide.

(76,585 posts)Best ale I ever had was a true cask ale at a pub in Hyde, England. I forget the brewer, but they were local to Manchester.
Fantastic!
I don't drink much, so I prefer NA or Zero beers. I like beer, but don't care for the alcohol buzz.
But, if I could get that ale here, I'd have one every day.

(15,793 posts)Fizzy water with pine needles with a bad finish.
I'm now leaning to a lighter lager and my all time fav is Guinness.
Two and I'm done and it has a nice flavor.
I cant remember if it was better in St James Gate or here... All good to me. YMMV

(25,008 posts)Looks to be an upstanding dude.

One of Guo's and Bannon's projects is the New Federal State of China, which purports to be a government in exile that will take over China once the Chinese Communist Party is overthrown. Prosecutors allege Guo illegally took money from the Rule of Law Foundation and the Rule of Law Society, two nonprofits he founded that have similar policy objectives. (Guo and Bannon have both pleaded not guilty in their respective cases.)
The judge overseeing Guo's case denied giving him bail, siding with prosecutors who argued he was a flight risk because of his vast wealth, ties abroad, and connections to powerful people.
"Miles Guo has been detained since March 15 without bail? The #CCP corruption runs deep," Santos tweeted on May 4, using another one of Guo's many names. (An affinity for using multiple names, which are variations of each other, is something Guo shares with George Anthony Devolder Santos.)

VERY okay with that, too. The public deserves to know where those who claim to represent us get their money. Thatll always reveal who those representatives are beholden to.
