Far-right 'Moms for Liberty' listed as a hate group for first time

Moms for Liberty, the far-right parental group known for protesting at school board meetings, has been identified by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a "hate group" for the first time ever.

Moms for Liberty, which recently said it knows liberal groups are spying on its activities because it's doing the same thing to them, is among 12 parental groups added to the SPLC's list of hate groups, according to USA Today.

"The Southern Poverty Law Center is for the first time labeling Florida-headquartered Moms for Liberty and 11 other right-wing 'parents' rights' groups as extremist groups in its annual report, released today," USA Today wrote.

"Moms for Liberty and the other organizations are being designated as 'anti-government extremist groups,' based on longstanding criteria, explained SPLC Intelligence Project Director Susan Corke. Corke said the grassroots conservative groups are part of a new front in the battle against inclusivity in schools, though they are drawing from ideas rooted in age-old white supremacy."

According to the report, Corke noted: “The movement is primarily aimed at not wanting to include our hard history, topics of racism, and a very strong push against teaching anything having to do with LGBTQ topics in schools. We saw this as a very deliberate strategy to go to the local level.”

Some of these "moms" don't have any children enrolled in these schools but just want to show of their dildo collection and share their favorite steamy passages of books. Maybe these ladies got thrown out of their local book clubs.

It's such a quick, easy way to make themselves look all pure and innocent. What could be more innocuous and less threatening than a bunch of "moms" looking out for their children's welfare, am I right?

I'm not at all surprised to learn that the innocent front is a facade that hides more sinister motives. Not. One. Bit.

MTG 'dated' a tantric sex guru who incorporated Buddhist tantric and neo tantric practices

they can get quite hardcore, and anal sex (and beyond, in more extreme cases) is a part of some of the rites

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tantric_sex#In_Buddhism

Buddhist sexual rites were incorporated from Shaiva tantra, becoming even more explicitly erotic and transgressive in the process. Deities like Vajrayogini, sexually suggestive and streaming with blood, overturn traditional separation between intercourse and menstruation. Some extreme texts would go further, such as the 9th-century Buddhist text Candamaharosana-tantra, which advocated consumption of bodily waste products of the practitioner's sexual partner, like wash-water of her anus and genitalia. Those were thought to be "power substances", teaching the waste should be consumed as a diet "eaten by all the Buddhas."

In some forms of Buddhism, tantric sex is strongly associated with the practice of semen retention, as sexual fluids are considered an energetic substance that must be reserved. Many Buddhist tantric works direct the focus away from sexual emission towards retention and intentionally prolonged bliss, thus "interiorizing" the tantric offering of fluids directed to the deities.

an "Astro Turf operation" purporting to be spontaneous and grassroots, but created by hidden elite interests.

While the Tea Party was financed and coordinated by Citizens for a Sound Economy (CSE), a Koch Bros. political action front group, one of many generated for the Koch family enterprises by Richard Fink. Money and strategy also came from Philip Morris and R.J. Reynolds who were developing state level coalitions through their front group Freedomworks led by Dick Armey, to block state and federal legislation along with taxes they didn't want.

More recently other billionaire American oligarchs, such as the Walton Family (Walmart) along with others less visible like Harlan Crow or Leonard Leo, have promoted and steered what has morphed into what we often call the MAGA movement. A modern edition of the violent and racist brown shirt fascist bullies of early NAZI days.

This is to say nothing about the influence, social media trolling, and GOP subordination by Putin's FSB (formerly KGB).

is that the more patriotic sounding the group name is, the more likely its a right wing group.
e.g mons for liberty, patriot front, make America Great again, etc...

... is very careful how they label groups. They have published criteria for several different categories, and when evaluating and labeling a group they justify the label by reference to that criteria. This is one of their strong points - they don't just fling around smears, they research, categorize and justify their assessments.

The SPLC did not designate Moms for Liberty as a "hate group". They designated them as a "general anti-government" group.

Antigovernment groups are part of the antidemocratic hard-right movement. They believe the federal government is tyrannical, and they traffic in conspiracy theories about an illegitimate government of leftist elites seeking a “New World Order.” In addition to groups that generally espouse these ideas, the movement is comprised of sovereign citizens, militias, overt conspiracy propagandists and constitutional sheriff groups. In the past this movement was referred to as the “Patriot” movement by adherents and critics.
