Former Trump aide arrives at Miami courthouse to appear before grand jury in classified documents pr

Taylor Budowich, who has worked as a spokesman for Donald Trump, has arrived at the federal courthouse in Miami to appear before a grand jury as part of special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the former president’s handling of classified documents.

Budowich and his attorney, Stanley Woodward, declined to answer questions as they arrived.

Still aligned closely with the former president, Budowich now runs a super PAC backing Trump called MAGA, Inc.

The grand jury based in southern Florida has heard testimony from multiple witnesses in recent weeks as part of the federal investigation that has relied for months on grand juries in Washington, DC, to help gather evidence and witness testimony.

Maybe this is just one of those last checks for some detail that changes some wording in the charges that are already drafted. Kind of a recall of a witness to check one detail that will decide if one of the instances of crimes is 1 charge or another.

While it's likely the Florida grand jury is on a different track, investigating crimes committed by others in Florida, there is no firm information this Friday means anything to Smith.

Just walk through a best case scenario. Tfg was indicted last month under seal and the meetings this week were to set the terms of tfgs surrender for arraignment.

It still wouldn't be Friday. They would need weeks to set up security.

Likewise, if an indictment happens this week, it wouldn't be announced this week.

And of course it's possible they aren't through with hearings, and there will be no indictment any time soon.

So Friday is a longgggggg shot.

A person testifying is free to leave the chambers to ask their lawyer a question. So lawyers almost always are present nearby.
