We all know how dumb the "general public" is.
To then trust the moronic masses with the power of instant death to anyone within a 50 yard radius is, well, moronic.
It's not good enough to apply regular justice to gun crimes. The consequence of the crime cannot be undone. Cannot be repaid, repaired, or compensated.
Prevention, or nothing. I don't really give a damn who rots in a cell after the fact.
