(11,504 posts)Hopefully with significant restrictions, including no golf. I've heard arguments that he's too much of a security risk to put in prison, which makes sense as I can totally see him selling secrets.

(12,412 posts)And hes probably still facing more charges. Still skeptical about a jury convicting him, but not as doubtful as months ago. If they have some proof of him providing info to foreign countries or an intent to do so, then odds go way up.
In any event, hes going to stressed out and he deserves it.

(15,909 posts)It seems highly unlikely Trump will literally end up behind bars. Even a cushier "Club Fed" prison is hard to imagine because of the security logistics.
If he gets house arrest it sure as hell better not be as cushy as remaining at Mar-a-Lago, unless maybe he's limited to using a converted storage room.

Still say I'd settle for a verdict that forbids him from ever running for, or being appointed to, public office ever again. He's dangerous all the time, but never more than when he can order public officials to do his bidding or produce executive orders to alter our way of life both nationally and internationally.
Have that same fear of a DeSatan holding any office.

(24,437 posts)I thought it was zero until very recently, but these are the types of charges people go to prison for.

(6,536 posts)I think, even if he is convicted and sentenced, he will shuffle off this mortal coil before he gets locked up.
I won't be surprised if he tries to flee the country.
Given the extent of his wrongdoing (in my opinion), I don't think there's even a punishment that would really be adequate anyway...personally I'll be satisfied if the extent and nature of his crimes is truly and fully made known to the general public, and if he's banned from holding any kind of office ever again. I'm generally against the whole concept of prison anyway...I wish he could be banished from the Earth.
