Maybe they were the ones that told him he would never be indicted?

witnesses whose attorney-client privilege can be pierced (I don't know the timeline of when they got involved and don't care enough to look it up). Can't be a witness and represent the defendant at the same time.

And their lawyers....

Some of these lawyers may have crossed ethical boundaries, or not and they don't want to.

They were totally not paying attention to FL when that where the indictment was always coming from, the got caught sleeping. I think they were forced to resign.

They were basically fired but allowed to resign for appearances.

They were pushed out because their chief job was to prevent Trump from being indicted and failed. Trump doesn't want losers/failures to defend him going forward and at trial. They are the scapegoats since Trump is incapable of blaming himself.

At least not about him anymore. No lawyer now will take him on without a massive retainer up front, I'm guessing 10million, minimum, paid through wire transfer that would go to a "front" account that would automatically transfer the entire depoit to the real account, to keep him from revoking or canceling that payment before the firm could lock it down.

I know a defense attorney. That's how she gets paid, always. You know why?

Because you never trust a check or credit card from a known criminal or fraudster.

Not ever.

You need to have a good retainer in place before being officially named as counsel

No way an experienced criminal attorney would enter an appearance in court for any defendant without a good portion of their fees being paid in advance. Otherwise they could be stuck working for months (maybe years in this case) for free if a judge didn't allow them to withdraw once entering an appearance.

and I think the most likely explanation is probably the money. And I understood the point about needing the judges permission to resign.
