9. Truly the master of alternate history. I just read his chapter in And the Last Trump Shall Sound.

The premise is that Trump wins 2020 but dies in the second wave of covid and Pence becomes Nazi-in-Chief. By the third Pence term, CA, OR, and WA secede from the fascist Union. Chapter two is by James Morrow, whose Towing Jehovah is a hoot if you've never read it.
