Got my ass kicked back in the 70's while they called me a n-g--r lover while today

I'm up for another for being a LGBQT lover.

I'm not black, I'm straight, but then as now I believe that in my 70's I would gladly take another beating for my brothers and sisters.

As long as we keep fighting the proper ending to the strife gets closer.

Check your state's laws. Battery is touching you without your consent. Ass kicking is not required.

Today my son and I are going were the magats hang out. We go eat at a family restraunt next door to them. I mentioned last year they now have expanded to 2 locations in the same strip mall Their largest room is all taped up to the outside with no admittance to anyone but them I will carefully see if I can overhear something My son did go into their first location last year They had a large candy machine filled with bullets Plus a large cut out of trump you could have your picture taken with They supply donuts to the police. Really

Even a small display, a kind word, a nod of solidarity that makes someone feel less alone helps. A word of caution, though: It can be habit-forming, and instead of being shy about voicing your views to strangers, some of them will be shy about voicing their views around you.

I was in Selma, Montgomery, Birmingham, and the Mississippi Delta. Bull Connor's firehoses knocked me down more than once; I avoided being bitten by his dogs. Certain family members have not spoken to me since.

My mother (1924-2007) marched for women's rights. So did my wife. And now my daughter.

I still shake my head over why we are STILL protesting this shit.

as a 13-14 year old girl. He told me we were going to be fighting the n-words as they rioted up our small country road where we lived. I've been an outcast from my fundamentalist, religious family of, six children & two parents. Shunned my entire life, since I was about 25, I am, now 72 years of age. Only speak with one sister, brothers are a lost cause. I am a little old lady now, I told my brother he was nuts then, and would tell him the same if he ever tried to speak to me again. Thank goodness we don't live in the same state. Civil rights are for everyone, not just white men.

The 4th one was LYNCHED in front of his child, my 9year old greatuncle in the early 30's. GGrandpa was the child of slaves, was purposely run down 3 times by a twisted "man". This old world is made much brighter by people like you, Tom Jossarian Joad. I just found out about the lynching of my Paternal GGrandfather and am still processing it but I'm going to post it here so that DU'ers can begin a conversation about what these magats are trying to achieve & bring back on an industrial level.

BTW, 1 of my ggrandfathers who the KKK tried to attack was IRISH and called "that white n**ger". So many people are unaware of the FACT that the Irish were NOT considered white. There were signs & help wanted adverts that barred AA, Jews, WetB**ks, dogs and IRISH".

Thank you again. I have never understood nor will I ever understand how people can hate people for the color of their skin, their descent, their religious affiliation (esp. "Christians" who claim to be followers of Christ BUT HATE Jews...JESUS WAS A JEW but Ignorant AF) or their sexual orientation, (these are also the same people who refuse to understand that 3there are SIZEABLE numbers of animals who would be considered gay..:laughing
If you're ever in northern California and somehow, we meet and a CRAZY SUICIDAL RACIST threatens U, I'll throw down and my Texan born Czech hubs would defend you as we have others that have been attacked in increasingly common magat attacks.

Their types seem bent on bringing back American Apartheid, (Jim Crow), Slavery, (I've actually had people tell me this online) & a return to the Shoah, (I'm named after a Polish Jewish woman who survived Bergen Belsen.

NO MORE and NEVER AGAIN!
